ABOUT
“Wait. You’re a… what now?”
I’m a radically holistic career and life coach!
I’ve learned a lot from years of supporting the growth of some of the brightest, most talented doers in the civic tech and social-good sectors. I’ve supported people through major life and career transitions for over twelve years.
I know that if you want to save the world without collapsing in on yourself like a dying star, you must invest meaningful energy into your own healing and growth.
If you’re ready, I can help you do that.

“Kit is warm, funny, and generally a great person to connect with… they keep me grounded and keep me to my word. I believe that they care about my success.”
My life
You probably didn’t come here for my life story, so I’ll give you the brief version: I’ve had a long, non-linear path–think, “started as a professional chef then wound up a director of an Obama-Era White House Tech Startup”. That kind of non-linear.
I have a Master’s degree in Learning Tech, a parallel career in public interest technology, and a passion for collecting hobbies.
I stand at the intersections of being a queer, nonbinary, disabled, fat activist and benefitting from white privilege.
I am a proud Minnesotan and I make a mean hot dish. (Seriously. I went to culinary school and everything.)
Why I coach
I coach because I love it, I’m damn good at it, and it’s one of the things I can do to improve the world.
I am a seasoned career coach but I provide a lot more than just career guidance. I support you as a whole, beautiful human with a complex history and evolving hopes and dreams – not a cover letter and résumé. (But we can definitely work on those, too.)
I firmly believe the concept of “work/life” balance is, pardon my language, bullshit.
“Work”–in whatever form it takes–is not something to be balanced outside of life; it’s a significant part of it, and it looks different for everyone.
Our lives and bodies “at work” are inextricably linked from the rest of our existence. I believe that the denial of that interconnectedness is the damaging product of capitalism, ableism, racism, ageism, queerphobia, and just generally bigoted views about our value as human beings. It often means we feel we must deny something about ourselves in the name of professionalism or productivity. Damaging, indeed.
I’m out to reverse that damage by holding space for folks trying to make it through while healing relationships to their body-minds, whatever that looks like. So, that’s where the “radical holistic” part of my practice comes in.
You can read more about my approach to coaching in my coaching manifesto.

“Whether you need an empathetic ear after a long week of user research and managing stakeholders, or practicing interview questions for your next job, do yourself a favor and call Kit – like right now.”
Basically, I lovingly push people forward (using custom methods and techniques I’ve learned developed over the years) so they can define and achieve their dreams while finding balance, joy, and peace in their whole selves.
If that sounds like something you need…
